In the 2025 regular season, Hancock, now with the Mariners, maintained a respectable 4.90 ERA and struck out 64 batters. The team's success continued as they clinched the AL West in late September, setting up a thrilling AL Division Series against the Detroit Tigers. After a dramatic 15th-inning walk-off win by shortstop Jorge Polanco, the Mariners advanced to the ALCS for the first time in 24 years, facing the top-seeded Toronto Blue Jays.
